It was almost painful, moving stiff joints- why were they stiff, a long night's sleep never stiffened his joints so much- to upright himself and dangle his legs over the side of the bed, ready to slide out and figure out just what is going on. Disorientation be damned, he couldn't abandon his commitment to finding the truth of things.
He read the next round of text messages carefully, dissecting everything about them, even if half of it didn't meant sense in the slightest.
tell me where you are.
The veins behind his eyeballs pound, and he forces them shut.
Why was this feeling, this swirling carousel of vertigo in his head, so similar to the last time he woke up in a hospital bed, unable to answer these questions definitively, when the last thing he remembers was looking up into-
A face. Raikou's before, and unidentifiable now, but a face. He couldn't remember anything about it, only that like before, his heart beat fast looking into it, his limbs trembled as he reached to it, and with the last breath of air he had he spoke fading messages of important somethings.
It was even more disorienting to have a memory of something he couldn't visualize than the haze he woke with.]
